ACCA Exam Timetable

Thinking of taking the ACCA exams in 2025? Then, having a clear view of the ACCA exam timetable is a must. Because here’s a harsh truth: most students don’t fail due to a lack of knowledge. They fail because they misjudge time. They register late. Or they study in panic mode because they didn’t map out their paper deadlines in advance.

Knowing your paper-wise schedule, deadlines, and recommended study hours helps you prepare better and register on time.

This guide does the heavy lifting for you. It walks you through everything from ACCA timetable, dates, deadlines, to fee structures, time limits, and study tips.

So, let’s get started!

The ACCA timetable is your master guide to when each exam is held, how it’s delivered, and what you should plan around. For example, in June 2025, papers like FR, FM, and AA may be available as CBEs in both remote and test centre formats between 2nd – 6th June. However, strategic exams like SBL or APM will be fixed for certain days only.

So don’t just Google “acca june exam timetable” a week before you plan to register. Bookmark it. Use it to reverse engineer your study plan.

  • Exams are held in March, June, September, and December each year.
  • Most papers are available as Computer-Based Exams (CBEs).
  • Strategic Professional exams are held during fixed windows.

Here’s what the ACCA exam timetable usually includes:

  • List of papers offered in each session
  • Exam format: remote or centre-based
  • Dates and timings for each subject
  • Registration deadlines (early, standard, late)
  • Guidance on accessing learning support

Having the right and updated exam timetable helps candidates set realistic goals for each session and avoid missing out on preferred dates. You can also:

  • Maximise your study hours by planning backwards from the exam window
  • Avoid overlaps with job deadlines, university exams, or holidays
  • Prepare for location-based availability if you’re opting for centre-based exams

Where Can You Find Official ACCA Exam Timetables?

Too many students rely on outdated PDFs floating in WhatsApp groups. That’s a big mistake.

To find the official ACCA December timetable or ACCA June timetable, check out the following websites and portals:

  • Paper (e.g. TX, SBR, AAA)
  • Level (Applied Skills or Strategic Professional)
  • Exam session (March, June, Sept, Dec)
  • Location and delivery mode

It comes in downloadable PDFs for offline reference. You can also subscribe to ACCA’s student emails for deadline reminders.

  • Approved Learning Providers

Kaplan, an ACCA Approved Learning Partner, provides detailed timetables for their courses, which align with the ACCA exam schedule. The timetable comes in downloadable formats and has mobile-friendly options.

Some pro tips:

  • Book Early – Save money with early-bird registration.
  • Check CBE Availability – Some papers (F1-F4) can be taken on-demand.
  • Plan Backwards – Start studying 3-4 months before the exam.
  • Sync with Study Providers – If using Kaplan/BPP, align their schedules with ACCA’s dates.

How Does The ACCA Timetable Differ For Each Exam Level?

The ACCA exam pattern and timetable differ across three levels, i.e Applied Knowledge, Applied Skills, and Strategic Professional. This is because each level has its own structure, exam frequency, and question formats.

For instance, there is a 100% MCQ CBE for applied Knowledge. But, for applied skills, only Law (LW) follows a 100% MCQ format. For others, the exam frequency is mixed with MCQ and subjective questions.

Level

Papers

Exam Type

Question Format

Applied Knowledge

BT, MA, FA

Strategic Professional

Session CBE

So, if you are starting out, you can take at your own pace. But as you move up, it’s important to align your preparation with the exam cycle:

  • Lower levels = more flexibility
  • Strategic professional subjects test your judgement, strategy, and communication. So, plan them early — especially if you are balancing work and studies.
  • Allocate 8–10 weeks per subject, especially for case-study-heavy papers like SBL or SBR.

What Time Are ACCA Exams Held And How Long Do They Last?

ACCA exams are held in two daily sessions. Morning sessions usually start at 10:00 AM, while afternoon sessions begin at 2:00 PM, local time.

  • Applied Knowledge papers last 2 hours.
  • Applied Skills and Strategic Professional exams are 3 hours 15 minutes.

Note: Exact times may vary slightly by exam center or region—always check your exam docket for confirmation.

Speaking of Computer Based Exams (CBE), they are held during fixed exam windows (March, June, September, December). Meanwhile, remote exams offer more flexible time slots.

Is There A Time Limit To Complete All ACCA Exams?

While ACCA is a flexible course for students and working professionals, there is a 7-year time limit —but only for the Strategic Professional exams.

Now, what is the 7-year time rule?

The rule states that you have exactly seven years to pass all 4 Strategic Professional exams from the moment you pass your first Strategic Professional paper.

If you don’t complete them within that time, any passes older than seven years will expire, and you will have to re-sit those exams to become an ACCA affiliate.

Let’s say you passed Advanced Financial Management (AFM) in March 2018. That result will expire by March 2023. If you haven’t completed all Strategic Professional exams by then, your AAA pass becomes invalid, and you’ll need to take it again.

Now you may wonder, “Does this rule apply to everyone?”

Yes. But there’s a small twist.

If your first eligible exam session was December 2015 or earlier, you were given 10 years from your registration date to complete the full qualification. After that, the 7-year rule kicks in.
