ACCA Exam Dates 2026: Complete Timetable, Deadlines, Fees And Results

ACCA qualification is not the kind of exam you clear by cramming the night before. It is a structured, multi-year commitment that tests your patience as much as your knowledge of accounting and finance. 

If you wish to pass ACCA in 1st attempt, make sure to have a strategic blueprint for exam planning.

1. Focus on Covering the Breadth of Knowledge: This is the single most important piece of advice we give students at Ikka Classes, and it goes against what most people do naturally.

    

   Some subjects like ACCA ABR, BT, and several others at the Applied Skills level don’t judge on depth but rather on the breadth of the topics. So, one important piece of advice we at Ikka Classes give students is to focus on covering entire syllabus, or at least 80 to 90% of it, in your first round of study. Then in the later revision rounds, you can decide on selected topics. So, breadth first…depth later.

    

2. Understanding the Standards & The Conceptual Framework: ACCA is not about memorising IFRS standards line by line. If that is your approach, you will struggle. The exam tests whether you understand WHY a standard exists, WHAT problem it solves, and HOW it applies in real business situations. You need to balance the WHAT, HOW and the WHY behind concepts.
   
   
3. Consistency > Intensity: This is where most ACCA students slip up. They study for 10 hours one weekend and then do nothing for the next two weeks. That does not work. ACCA rewards consistency, not last-minute bursts. Follow these tips instead:
   • The 80/20 Rule: Identify 20% high-weightage topics, as 80% of your exam marks come from these core areas. Prioritise them in every study session.
   • Active Recall: Do not just read the study text and highlight things. Close the book and test yourself. Use flashcards, blurting techniques, and quick quizzes to force your brain to retrieve information without looking at the material.
     
     
4. Practice Mock Test Papers: This is #1 non-negotiable. Never walk into an exam hall without completing at least three full-length, timed mock exam papers. Also, practice ACCA past year question papers to get an idea of probable questions to be asked the exam pattern, your bandwidth of completion on time, etc.

    

5. Using the Right Resources: Your ACCA prep is only as effective as the study material you use. In 2026, you have more study resources available than ever before. Follow these resources:
   • ACCA Books – Stick to BPP or Kaplan study materials. They are the most closely aligned with the current syllabus and examiner expectations.
   • ACCA Practice Platform: The official ACCA study platform where the feel is similar to what an exam would be. 
   • Examiner Reports – These are underrated. Every past exam session, the ACCA examiner releases report explaining what students did well and where they lost marks. Reading these gives you a direct window into the examiner’s mind.
   • ACCA Study Hub – Get debrief videos, quizzes, mock papers and all the resources directly. 

6. Track Progress and Stay Motivated: The ACCA journey can feel long. Some students clear all papers in two years. Others take three or four. The difference is not always intelligence. Often, it is persistence and the ability to stay motivated when a paper does not go your way.
   • Do monthly audits: At the end of every month, sit down and review what you covered. If you scored poorly, find the reason.Was it a knowledge gap? A time management issue? A silly error pattern? Fix it before the next mock.
